Both big and little ants have been trying to step up their artsy game for the season of lent. Part of that includes forcing ourselves to get in the habit of not just consuming, but creating regularly. Little ant has a nice writing program going on, but I have been having a harder time figuring out what my motivational push needs to look like.
Luckily, I have a friends who is a visual artist and is working on putting together a portfolio and starting a few projects. We’ve decided to have Art Nights where we hold each other accountable for making stuff. Last night my brain was pretty dead after a work day that started WAY too early in the morning, so I just recorded an old song instead of making a new one. Hey, it counts!
Here is Backporch Camerata, affectionately named for the Camerata de’Bardi, who might have met in fancier circumstances with loftier product, but had the same general idea.
